JMCSS: School board recognized at conference
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—A local school board is recognized.

According to a press release from JMCSS, the Jackson-Madison County School Board was recognized at the annual convention of the Tennessee School Boards Association. This convention was held on Saturday, November 18 in Nashville.
The following statement was issued by JMCSS regarding this special honor:
“Today at the Tennessee School Boards Association Annual Convention in Nashville, the Jackson-Madison County School Board was recognized as School Board of the Year! The award is a testament to the JMCSS Board’s dedication, and active participation in ongoing professional development around board governance and student success. The JMCSS school board earned Board of Distinction status earlier this year. Congratulations to the Jackson-Madison County School System, the 2023 TSBA School Board of the Year.”
