One airlifted after suffering a gunshot wound

JACKSON, Tenn.—One person airlifted following a shooting incident.

Earlier this evening, EMS airlifted an individual who sustained a gunshot wound.

We spoke to the Jackson Police Department who told us they believe this was an accidentally self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Emergency services set up a landing zone for the helicopter in the parking lot of the All Nations Church of God on North Parkway.

The victim was sent to a hospital in Memphis for treatment.

Further information about their condition has not yet been released.
