Liberty Technology High School hosts FAFSA Frenzy

JACKSON, Tenn. — Some local high school seniors were able to receive professional assistance with applying for financial aid.

Liberty Technology High School hosted a FAFSA Frenzy event with the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation from Nashville.

The event helped students and their parents complete the FAFSA application.

The deadline for the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid in tennessee is April 15. This applies to the Tennessee Student Assistance Award and the Tennessee Promise.

“A lot of students will tell us that they’re going to the workforce or they’re going to the military but we try to have everyone complete it just to give them opportunity because you never know what life is going to bring and, if things change, then that opportunity’s there for them next semester or in the fall when they need it,” said Lori Mitchum, outreach specialist for TSAC.

If you’re a senior, you’re encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible.
