Police respond to wreck on Vann Drive involving pedestrian
JACKSON, Tenn. — Our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters informed us of a wreck involving a pedestrian on Vann Drive and Highland Tuesday.
Tipsters say the pedestrian that was hit was homeless. We spoke with the Jackson Police Department’s traffic unit and they shared that:
“Witnesses at the scene saw the pedestrian walk out in front of the vehicle.”
This incident occurred in front of Station 5 of the Jackson Fire Department. The pedestrian is currently at the Jackson General Hospital being treated for their injuries.
When our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News team arrived to the scene, Jackson Police Department officers had blocked the left and right lane on Vann Drive.
Officers were seen cleaning items on the side of the road that were once inside a shopping cart.
