Safety Notice issued by Gibson Co. Electric
NEWS RELEASE FROM GIBSON COUNTY ELECTRIC
GIBSON CO., Tenn.—At the request of the Obion County Emergency Management Authority, Gibson Electric will be temporarily shutting down power in parts of Rives as a precautionary safety measure. This action is being taken as they continue to evacuate the area due to rising floodwaters.
The safety of our members is our top priority, and we appreciate their understanding and cooperation during this time.
Gibson Electric Membership Corporation is a local, not-for-profit, member-owned and member-controlled electric cooperative providing electric service to almost 40,000 homes and businesses in eight west Tennessee counties (Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, Lake, Lauderdale, Obion and Madison) and four west Kentucky counties (Carlisle, Fulton, Graves and Hickman).
