Jones promoted Director of Madison County Community Corrections

JACKSON, Tenn. — Madison County Community Corrections announced the promotion of Marcus Jones to Director, effective February 23, 2025.

With nearly three decades of experience in community corrections, Jones brings extensive expertise and leadership to his new role.

Jones has served as Deputy Program Director for Madison County Community Corrections since 2017, overseeing felony and misdemeanor offender supervision, case officer performance, compliance audits, and pre-sentencing investigative reports for circuit courts.

His career in criminal justice began in 1995 as a Case Officer with Corrections Management Corporation in Trenton, TN, followed by a move to Madison County Community Corrections in 1999. Over the years, he advanced through various leadership roles, including Case Officer Supervisor and Assistant Program Director.

A graduate of the American Probation and Parole Association Leadership Institute (2012), Jones also served as a Regional Representative for the American Probation and Parole Association, covering Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and Tennessee from 2016 to 2018.

His leadership and commitment to community rehabilitation have made a lasting impact on Madison, Chester, and Henderson County Circuit Courts.

In his new position, Jones will continue his mission of enhancing public safety while expanding community-based correctional programs that focus on rehabilitation and reducing recidivism. His leadership will strengthen efforts to provide structured supervision, field engagement, and accountability for offenders transitioning back into society.

“We are thrilled to have Marcus step into this leadership role,” said AJ Massey, Madison County Mayor. “His dedication and vast experience make him the ideal person to lead Madison County Community Corrections into the future.”
