The town was submerged in as much as 6 feet of water during the crest of the flood. Power is still out in the area due to the water damage inside some homes.

Rives Fire Chief Campbell Rice tells us the plan for those homes.

“We got most people back in. Those that actually had water damage inside their house, we’re getting the state fire marshal to inspect the homes this week and determine whether or not we can turn the power back on,” said Chief Rice.

It truly takes a village as our team spotted working crews from TDOT, Canadian National, the American Red Cross, Gibson Connect and Gibson Electric all getting Rives back in working order.
