The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirms they are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on US 70 in Madison County on 5/26/2025. The collision involved a passenger vehicle and a large passenger bus. Two fatalities have been confirmed and multiple others with injuries. The investigation is still ongoing.
JACKSON, Tenn. — First responders rushed to the scene of a crash involving a Greyhound bus in northeast Madison County.
Just before 7 p.m. Monday, our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters alerted us to a crash on Highway 70 East near the Madison County Solid Waste Convenience Center.
According to a press release from Madison County Fire Rescue, this incident involved 39 patients, with around 27 requiring ambulance transport.
Officials are asking residents to avoid the area for the next several hours to allow emergency personnel to safely manage the situation.
We reached out to the Tennessee Highway Patrol for comment, however, they were not immediately available due to the holiday.
