JACKSON, Tenn.—Theta Iota provides a free event offering support for the local community.
The Theta Iota Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presented a free health fair Saturday.
The event took place beginning at 10 in the morning at the TR White Sportsplex in Jackson.
There were a great deal of available health resources available to those who attended the event.
Representatives from several local businesses in the healthcare realm were present including West TN Rehab, Pathways, and Transitional Care. Others on site included Christ Community Health Services, D180 Fitness, Omni CBD and more.
The event also had food trucks available to grab a bite to eat, free mini massages and line dancing to get attendants to exercise in a fun environment.
“This is actually the second year we have had it here at TR White and it it a recurring event. We’ll do one every year because we feel that it’s important for the community to be educated about wellness and health. This just promotes having a more healthy lifestyle of living so we do this every year,” said Anthony Bell, Basileus of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
The next event to be hosted by Theta Iota is a Community Cookout and Back to School Supply Giveaway on July 26 for grades K-8.
