Book Fest returns to Jackson Madison County Library

JACKSON, Tenn.—One event in Jackson showcases several local authors.

Book Fest took place at the Jackson Madison County Library from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday.

The event allows a place for local authors to highlight their works, sell copies of their books, and chat with other authors and book lovers.

This year over 20 authors from various genres participated in the event. There was even an opportunity to win door prizes.

“I’m an author of five different books. Four of the books are children’s books and two of the book are based of affirmations. It’s a Christian based book. All of our books are Christian. The affirmation for me is so important because a lot of kids don’t know their identity even with some adults, so I created the affirmation book backed up with scripture so we can continue to speak that over our kids and empower them” said Korean Harris, Local author.

Book Fest takes place annually in Jackson helping authors to get their books out into the local community and beyond.
