Nana’s Taste and See brings community together with Thanksgiving dinner
SELMER, Tenn. — Many people are gathering in their homes or maybe at someone else’s house to enjoy Thanksgiving meals. However, some local restaurants are inviting the public to come eat at their place.

“This is our third consecutive year,” said Janice Phillips with Nana’s Taste and See. “It’s been wonderful. Each year keeps getting better and better.”
Nana’s Taste and See sits in the heart of downtown Selmer. Right when you pull in, you can smell the great food waiting for you on the other side of the door. Thursday, they did something special for Thanksgiving.

“We’re doing a community thanksgiving meal for the entire community. Free of charge. We’ve done a traditional meal. Turkey, ham, and all of the fixings,” said Phillips.
janice says the place was packed right when they opened.
“We had a lot of people. This has probably been our busiest year,” said Phillips.
She also told us why they put on this event each year.
“Because it is a great place. We have great people. We love what we do here,” said Phillips.
If you have never stopped by here for a meal, Phillips tells us what you are missing.
“My vision and my goal is to go back to our old roots where people came together. We laughed, we talked, we fellowshipped and a lot of that was done around the kitchen table. So we try to kind of have that atmosphere here,” said Phillips.

She also says she wants this place to be welcoming to every single person. If you ever want to stop by, they are located at 103 South Front Street in Selmer.
