North Pole Family Fun Day comes to Paris
PARIS, Tenn. — One community brings back a festive and fun event for the whole family.
Santa has come to town! Friday morning, the annual North Pole Family Fun Day kicked off in downtown Paris with lots of fun for the entire family.
“We’re so fortunate that we are one of the only communities that has a Santa in his house every weekend for people to be able to come and tell him exactly what they want,” said Tara Wilson, Executive Director of the Downtown Paris Association.
The event featured Santa’s sleigh ride, a trackless train ride, s’mores from the fire department and more.
The community was so excited for this year’s event as many began to line up early.
“I’m really excited to get presents because today is like a special day to play on these special rides on every ride,” said young attendee Lincoln.
Santa and Mrs. Claus, one elf, and a reindeer were all present spreading joy to the children.
“Well, if you got a chance to sit on Santa’s lap, what would you wish for?” we asked.
“A lot of puppy dogs with the momma, brings us a lot of puppy dogs and a pup house,” Lincoln said.
Residents can come and visit Santa and his helpers on the weekends leading up to Christmas to tell him exactly what’s on their wish list.
Wilson says every year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., they have a great turnout.
“I think during those four hours, we had well over a thousand people last year, so we love seeing the people come out and you know have fun here in downtown Paris,” Wilson said.
The Downtown Paris Association looks forward to seeing returning and new visitors year after year.
