Medina hosts its Small Business Saturday Holiday Market

MEDINA, Tenn.—One local city says, “come one, come all,” offering gift givers the opportunity to shop small!

‘Tis the season to check everyone off those shopping lists and one event in Gibson County offers the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Medina’s Downtown Development Initiatives’ presents its Small Business Saturday Holiday Market Saturday.

The market took place beginning at 10 a.m. and continued until 4 p.m. in the heart of downtown Medina.

Around 50 vendors participated in the huge holiday event that offered more than just your average shopping experience.

Vendors had everything from baked goods, jewelry, clothes, novelty items, toys, just about anything to finish that gift list.

Santa was even on site to listen to wishes and share in a photo opportunity.

Medina’s Holiday Market is a great place to give back to the local community by shopping small.

“Medina Downtown Development Initiative is in existence just to bring some dollars and some focus to downtown. We plan on applying for a grant to see if we can bring in even more and just kind of create a space for community,” said Meg McNaughton, Founder Medina Downtown Development Initiative.

The event is made possible through generous local sponsors and volunteers who also help to make it happen.
