Operation Home for the Holidays: Enhanced patrols to ensure safety
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CROCKETT COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT:
CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the launch of “Operation Home For the Holidays”, a safety initiative to ensure safe travel for residents and visitors during the busy holiday season.

The additional funds to pay the deputies is made possible through grant funding from the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, which will enhance patrols in high-traffic areas and crash-prone sections of our county’s highways and roads.
As the holiday season approaches, we anticipate a significant increase in travel, leading to busier roads and heightened risks associated with traffic. In response, the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office will staff additional officers to monitor traffic, enforce road safety laws, and ensure that all motorists can reach their destinations safely.
“Safety on our roads is paramount, especially during the holidays when families come together,” said Sheriff Troy N. Klyce. “With the support of the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, we will be able to increase our presence where it matters most, helping to prevent accidents and promote safe driving practices, without an impact to our local budget.”
Operation “Home For the Holidays” will focus on key areas identified as high traffic and high crash zones. Patrol deputies will be on the lookout for impaired and distracted driving, as well as other hazardous behaviors. We encourage all drivers to stay vigilant, obey traffic laws, and be considerate of others on the road.
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office urges everyone to plan ahead, buckle up, and make responsible choices throughout the holiday season. By working together, we can ensure everyone gets home safely for the holidays.
