West TN Jazz Foundation presents Requiem for a Drum Major
JACKSON, Tenn.—A local music event pays tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.
The Jazz Foundation of West TN hosted Requiem for a Drum Major Saturday evening at the Ned.
The event included jazz tunes in homage to Martin Luther King, Jr. performed by Dave Potter Quartet as well as Henry Conerway III Quartet. Both quartets are led by drummers providing a performance the audience can truly feel.
The night’s music was dedicated to MLK’s fight during the Civil Rights Movement.
Tickets to the event were $30 in advance, $35 at the door and student seats were offered for $15.
