John E. Parker, Jr., a lifelong resident of Jackson, TN, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on April 7, 2026. He was the son of the late John E. Parker, Sr. and Beulah Mitchell Parker.

John attended Jackson High School and later David Lipscomb University before proudly serving in the Tennessee National Guard. He joined his father in the family retail business at John E. Parker’s in downtown Jackson, where he spent many years working and building relationships within the community.

A devout Christian, John was a faithful member of North Jackson Church of Christ. His faith guided his life and was evident in the kindness, integrity, and generosity he showed to others.

John will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He cherished time with his family and leaves behind many treasured memories.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Williams Parker; his step-sons, Timothy Williams and Anthony Williams of Jackson; and his beloved grandchildren, Paige Hammonds (Caleb), Kaylen Atkins (Kolby), William Williams, and Emma Williams. He also leaves many beloved cousins and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

He held a special place in his heart for Melody Heyduck and her daughter, Sarah Heyduck, who were loved as part of the family.

A service to celebrate the life of John E. Parker, Jr. will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial following in Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers to serve will be Jeff Dyer, Richard Dyer, Tracy Salmon, William Williams, Caleb Hammonds, and Brady Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Agnew, Brad Barrington, and C. Kelley Swearingen.
