‘Ted Lasso’ drops trailer for season 4, announces premiere date

(Gray News) – Richmond’s favorite football coach is returning to Apple TV for another season this summer.

The fourth season of “Ted Lasso,” starring Emmy Award winner Jason Sudeikis, will make its highly anticipated global debut on Aug. 5.

Apple TV released the official trailer Tuesday on YouTube.

In the upcoming season, Ted is coaching a second division women’s football team.

“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” Apple TV said in a news release.

The first season of “Ted Lasso” became the most Emmy Award-nominated comedy series. It went on to land back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series Emmys for its first two seasons on the air.

The first three seasons of the series are now streaming on Apple TV.
