South Side Falls to CPA in Title Game

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Jackson South Side fell just short in the TSSAA Class AA State Championship against Christ Presbyterian Academy. The Hawks fell behind early, and trailed 17-6 at the end of the first quarter. South Side would scratch and claw to a 35-25 halftime deficit, but CPA would pull away in the second half. Jake Allsmiller led all scorers with 20 points, including six three-pointers, as the Lions won the state title 63-42. Jackson South Side finished their state runner-up season with a 28-4 record.
