Weather Update: 9:00 PM Saturday
Today was absolutely beautiful with temperatures in the upper 60s. A few areas did see the 70 degree mark. Clear skies this afternoon and the breezy conditions made for a great day. The breezy conditions continue tonight and into tomorrow but the chance for rain also returns to the forecast.
Tonight, clouds increase across West Tennessee. The temperature stay warm with the clouds building in, we will see low temps in the mid 50s. The winds stay breezy and out of the south.
Tomorrow the chance for rain for Sunday is low for most of the day. Maybe an isolated sprinkle ahead of the first of two cold fronts in our forecast. Sunday evening the cold front will push into West Tennessee. It’s a weak front so it won’t drop our temperatures too much for Monday but it will bring in the chance for a line of showers and maybe an isolated thunderstorm late on Sunday and into the morning on Monday.
Monday we will stay mostly rain-free for the afternoon but as we start to go into those early morning hours on Tuesday more rain returns to the area. Tuesday we could see showers ahead of the second cold front. Once the front moves into West Tennessee in the afternoon, the chance for strong thunderstorms increases across the area. Because we are still a few days out it makes timing the line of storms a bit tricky. But with that said, Tuesday is still the day to watch for the chance of the storms to become strong or even severe.
