Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Wednesday

Scattered storms will continue into the evening across West Tennessee with skies becoming mostly cloudy. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible tonight and could cause localized flash flooding for a brief period of time. With calm winds, temperatures will drop to the middle and upper 60s by sunrise at 5:41 a.m. Thursday morning.

THURSDAY
The cold front responsible for the rain we’ve had today will keep scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for tomorrow. The showers could be more widespread tomorrow than they were today with a similar chance for strong thunderstorms. Under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, temperatures will warm up to the middle 80s at the warmest hour of the day.

FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND
For Friday, the cold front will be farther south giving southwest Tennessee a continued chance for rain. Scattered thunderstorms will continue into the start of the weekend with a 70% chance for rain on Saturday as a second cold front approaches the area. This will give us a much cooler and drier start to the first full week of June on Sunday with lower humidity on tap early next week.
