JACKSON, Tenn.- Using a state-owned vehicle to do a little yard saling. That is what two Tennessee Department of Transportation employees are accused of doing. During last week’s Highway 70 Yard Sale, a viewer said they saw a TDOT pick-up truck at one of the sale locations After WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News forwarded the information to TDOT, they began an investigation. As a result, TDOT leaders said two employees admitted to going to the sale in a state owned truck. “If motorists have concerns about something that they see that they don’t think is right, sure, call in and let us know, we’ll make sure that we investigate the matter,” said Nichole Lawrence, community Relations Officer, with TDOT. TDOT is going over the state vehicle use policy with employees.
