Fatal Crash on Highway 412 in Crockett County

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn.- A Humboldt woman is dead following a crash on Highway 412 near Bells around 10 a.m., Friday. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a car, driven Jennifer Birmingham, 28, hit the back of the car in front of her as she was trying to merge. As a result, Troopers said Birmingham lost control of her vehicle, sending it across the roadway and overturning. She was ejected from the vehicle. Investigators say Birmingham was not wearing a safety belt. A man driving the other car was hurt, however the extent of his injuries was not known.
