Group Arrested at Party in Three Way Appears in Court

JACKSON, Tenn.- A court date Tuesday morning for 55 of the 63 people arrested or cited at a weekend house party in north Madison County. The 47 who were cited were over 18, but not old enough to legally drink. Most, who did not have previous records were allowed to enter a best interest plea and ordered to take an underage alcohol class and pay $420 in court fees. The eight others who were charged with giving alcohol to minors, public intoxication or underage drinking were given court dates for August. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News spoke with the homeowners’ attorney after the hearing. “The Hardwicks were trying to keep it under control but you have to remember , they wrote 54 citations out there that night and two people trying to control 54 in locations is extremely difficult,” said Mark Donohoe, attorney for the Hardwicks. All of those cited must also return to court in August.
