Hearing in Trenton Focuses on Violence against Women

TRENTON, Tenn.- The common mission of stopping violence against women brought West Tennesseans together, Thursday. Law enforcement officers to health care officials to workers in the judicial system were in Trenton to talk about ways to prevent this form of violence that takes its toll on minds, bodies and budgets as investigators work to solve the cases. “One individual can do very much and we want everyone to take away from here that they want to as much as they can to help us alleviate these problems,” said Yvonne Wood with the Tennessee Economic Council On Women. This event is the seventh of nine across the state and the meetings have determined that finding a prevention can save millions.
