Faith, Family Night held at church

JACKSON, Tenn. – West Jackson Baptist Church had a special guest visit their church for a night of fellowship and growth in faith.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee spoke about the importance of having a relationship with Christ at a young age.

Huckabee believes that after school programs and faith based programs in school will help children foster a good relationship with God.

Since the Child Evangelism Fellowship Chapter in Jackson is active and strong, organizers say it was important for Huckabee to stop by and fundraise for families that benefit from that chapter.

“Jackson has a very strong Child Evangelism Fellowship Chapter and tonight one of the goals is to raise money to provide for the after school programs that CEF is involved in,” Huckabee said.

He also says that children are the ideal age to have biblical principles in their life.
