JACKSON, Tenn.- A Madison County deputy has resigned instead of facing a disciplinary hearing after the sheriff said he tested positive for marijuana during a random drug test. William Jay Wyatt, 22, has worked with the department since January 2010. Twice late last year, he was suspended without pay, once for an inappropriate Facebook comment and the second time for disregarding a direct order. According to the sheriff, since random drug testing began in 2005, 903 employees have been tested, with seven who have tested positive.
