Savannah prepping for development along Tennessee River
SAVANNAH, Tenn. – Savannah is preparing for a riverfront development on the bank of the Tennessee River.
Overall, this development will cover 11 acres and it will be done in phases.
The first phase will be an 82-room hotel while the second phase will include a riverfront restaurant that goes along with the hotel.
The rest of the phases have yet to be determined.
“I’m from the area. I’m from Savannah and so this property came available and I just thought that with tourism and stuff like that in Savannah that it was time to bring in more business and tourism for Savannah,” said Tim Hut, with Hunt Contracting Design.
Hut adds that there has also been a proposal for a river walk at different sites along the Tennessee River.
The projected opening date is the summer of 2025.
