Huntingdon getting loan for water infrastructure

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Huntingdon is getting a loan to help improve water infrastructure.

The news release says that the town will be getting $2 million to address distribution system improvements, replacing and extending existing waterlines. It will have a 20-year term at 1.54 percent interest.

Along with Huntingdon, the City of Etowah, Cleveland Utilities Authority, and three loans for the City of Fayetteville have been approved by the Tennessee Local Development Authority. They total $24.3 million.
