Body of Dead Man Found Behind Elementary School Identified

BREAKING NEWS FROM WBBJ 7 EYEWITNESS NEWS JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police have identified the man found shot to death near Lincoln Elementary School, Thursday morning. Investigators believe Lacord Matthews, 24, of Jonestown, Miss., was killed around midnight. His body was discovered by a walker just before 6 a.m. According to investigators, his girlfriend told them they had lived in Jackson for about a year. Matthews’ last known address was in the 900-block of Lane Avenue. Matthews body has been taken to the State Medical Examiners Office in Nashville for positive identification.
