Tornado Watch For Parts Of West Tennessee

Weather Update: Friday, January 12 —

Winds are picking up quite a bit as expected this morning. A wind advisory is officially in effect as of 3:00 am. Showers and storms are lined up along a boundary extending through NW Tennessee. They are generally sub severe, but we’ll be watch for some of them to try and pull the strong winds aloft down towards the surface here and there. A Tornado Watch has been issued mainly for SW Tennessee it dos not include Brownsville, Jackson, Henderson, Savannah or Lexington at this time, however those locations are till in a slight 2/5 risk for stronger to severe storms this morning. The threat for that will be better along the front and approaching warm sector by mid morning.
