Boxers enter the ring for good cause in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — Ring the bell – it’s time for action! One local organization fights for the betterment of the community.
Champions Enterprise LLC presented Lamont Ingram’s Hub City Boxing Promotions Professional Boxing Show.
This event not only allowed boxers to do what they love, but it also gives them a chance to give back to the community.
All proceeds go to those with intellectual disabilities and the homeless just to name a few.
Food and drinks were also available at the event.
“Boxing is important,” Ingram said. “I was an amateur boxer here in Jackson. I came up under racial violence. I had an amateur record of 58 wins, 10 losses and 35 knockouts where I also signed with Floyd Mayweather and I was trained by Roger Mayweather, so boxing saved my life.”
If you missed it this time, don’t worry. This event is expected to happen every three months.
