Occupants survive small plane crash in Henry County
HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — Two people escaped a small plane crash unharmed on Sunday evening.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, a call was received around 6:17 p.m. on January 21 of an aircraft accident on Highway 69 North.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrived to find a small aircraft flipped upside down in a grassy area between the highway and the end of the runway at the Henry County airport.
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed both occupants – the pilot and a passenger – were able to get out of the plane unharmed.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the pilot advised that the aircraft lost engine power and a landing was attempted, however the plane struck a fence surrounding the airport, which caused the aircraft to flip.
An investigation into the crash is currently underway by the FAA.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says Cottage Grove/Whitlock Fire Department and Henry County EMS assisted.
