LaFollette man’s body found floating in lake
LAFOLLETTE, Tenn. (AP) – The Campbell County sheriff says an apparent accidental drowning has claimed the life of a LaFollette man.
In a statement, Sheriff Robbie Goins said deputies discovered the body of 65-year-old John Ward floating in Norris Lake near the Powell Valley Marina on Thursday afternoon.
The Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/12pB1ox ) reported authorities said an autopsy will be performed to determine how Ward died. However, authorities said they believe it was an accidental drowning.
Deputies responded after the department received a call from an address near the marina. The statement did not disclose details of the phone call.
