Brooks steals the spotlight for week 6
MILAN, Tenn — For week six, Milan wide out, Lamartez Brooks ran away with the MVP honors for his three touchdowns against McNairy Central. On the year he has ten touchdowns, but he credits his success to what he did in the off season.
“Working hard in the off season, working out with the whole team, just being competitive in the weight room,” said Brooks.
Brooks compares his style of play to a very succesful wideout in the NFL.
“Dez Bryant typle caliber, tall, lanky, just speed,” said Brooks. “Physcial, like want the ball thrown to me and I’m going to bring it down. But when it comes to the team you know, just if we win, it doesn’t really matter to me.”
Brooks even received high praise from his head coach Jeff Morris who said, he is the best wide receiver he’s ever coached. Brooks saying that means a lot to him coming from a guy like coach Morris.
Brooks and the Bulldogs will look to keep things rolling when they take on a tough Dyersburg team this Friday.
