THP hosts law enforcement appreciation event in Savannah
SAVANNAH, Tenn. — The Tennessee Highway Patrol hosted a law enforcement appreciation event Tuesday in Savannah.
More than 100 officers and their families attended the event which featured food, special guest speakers and entertainment from country music star Darryl Worley. An event sponsor spoke to WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News about the significance of this event.
“Our law enforcement folks don’t realize how appreciated they are, and so hopefully it just says to them that we appreciate the job you do for us, the sacrifice you make, and you know, you’re not overlooked,” event sponsor Dan Adkisson said.
Officials said they hope to make this an annual event.
