THP identifies man killed in Hardeman Co. wreck

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — State troopers have identified a man killed in an early Sunday morning crash in Toone.

Justin Navarro, 20, of Bolivar was killed in the crash near the intersection of Highway 138 and Turpin Lane, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. when the car in which Navarro was a passenger left the roadway after cresting a hill at a high rate of speed, according to the report.

The car became airborne after topping the hill, and the driver lost control when the car returned to the roadway, according to the report.

The driver and two other passenger reportedly were injured in the crash. There is not word on the extent of their injuries.

None of them was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
