Summer Celebration Planned for Thursday

JACKSON, Tenn.-The grass has been cut, flower beds manicured and tents are up for an annual summer event in West Jackson. The University of Tennessee Research and Education Center is ready for it’s annual Summer Celebration Lawn and Garden Show. Hundreds of area residents will flock to the center, Thursday for tours, seminars, displays and a plant sale. The center is one of the state’s official botanical gardens. “I think they take home lessons is that this research and education center located here, impacts the lives of everyone. Not only here in Tennessee, but across the nation and even worldwide,” said Bob Haynes, of the UT Center for Research and Education. The Summer Celebration Lawn and Garden Show will be held from 9am until 6 p.m., Thursday. Admission is $5.00.
