Reed out on bond after court appearance, pleads ‘not guilty’

JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson Mayor Scott Conger’s Chief of Staff, Roland Alexander “Alex” Reed, appeared in a Madison County courtroom today before Judge Kyle Atkins.

What started as an investigation led by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in September 2023 led to charges of stalking and electronic tracking of a motor vehicle.

Reed entered a plea of not guilty today on both charges.

His bond was set at $5,000, and he has since bonded out.

He is to have no contact with the victim or any witnesses and to relinquish firearms if he owns them as the matter is pending.

He will be appear back in court in Madison County on June 3.

Reed could also be facing charges of electronic tracking of a motor vehicle in Chester County.
