UPDATE (6/3/24): Alex Reed, Jackson’s Chief of Staff returns to court in Jackson
CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — We have more news regarding Alex Reed, the Chief of Staff for the City of Jackson’s Mayor, Scott Conger, and his most recent court appearance.
In a developing story we first brought to you earlier this month, Roland Alexander Reed appeared in court Tuesday morning in Chester County.
There, he is facing only one of the charges that was brought before him in Madison County. This charge is the electronic tracking of a motor vehicle, a Class A misdemeanor.
Reed was arraigned and released on the same conditions as he was in Madison County. He will return to court on June 3 in Madison County, and on August 15 in Chester County.
According to a release from Mayor Scott Conger, Reed is currently on administrative leave, without pay, and has relinquished all city issued items.
This is standard protocol for the City in these situations.
The release went on to say that the City is fully committed to transparency and integrity regarding this matter, and that they will continue to provide updates and more information is available.
On April 5, reed pled not guilty to both charges of stalking and electronic tracking of a motor vehicle.
This started as an investigation led by the TBI in September of 2023.
Reed could face up to 11 months in jail if convicted on this charge in Chester County.
