Drying Out This Weekend
Saturday Morning Update
Rain and thunder started us out early Saturday morning with just a few spotty showers lingering through mid morning. Skies will be a mix of sunshine and clouds in the early afternoon with cooler temperatures topping out around 65 at the warmest part of today.

THE WEEKEND:
The forecast is going to be tricky this weekend as a low pressure system and stalled out front will pass to our south. West Tennessee is right on the northern edge of the rain chances from the system. We are likely going to be under the clouds at times but the showers are going to be close. The further south you are, the more likely you are to encounter the rain and clouds this weekend. We are not expecting any severe weather or thunderstorms from that system. Rain chances stick around from Saturday morning into early Sunday afternoon. The rain chances and clouds will move out during the back half of the day on Sunday.

Highs on Saturday will reach the mid 60s and Sunday highs are forecast to stay in the low 60s. It will be cooler this weekend due to a northerly breeze around 10 MPH. If we get the sun to peek through, we could be a little warmer over the weekend. Rain chances in Jackson sit at 40% on Saturday and 30% on Sunday with most of the rain staying south of Jackson. Saturday night will fall to the mid to upper 40s and Sunday night lows will drop down to the low 40s or maybe even the upper 30s Monday morning. We are not expecting a freeze but a frost is not out of the question for some of us north of Jackson.

NEXT WEEK:
We are expecting a normal week next week for the middle of April. In general, highs will be in the 70s and lows will be in the 40s. We will see a mix of sun and clouds. The next chance for some showers or storms will be here on Tuesday, but it looks like a pretty week front and the severe storm threat as of now looks pretty low with that system. The winds will come out of northeast to kick off the week, but chance to the southwest on Tuesday, than back to the northwest on Wednesday. Another system will bring rain and storm chances back late Thursday into the day on Friday.

FINAL THOUGHT:
After a couple rounds of showers and storms, the weather will take a more quieter pattern for a few day. But cooler weather moved in on Friday and will last into the weekend. A few showers will be possible this weekend and a couple rounds of rain are on tap next week as well, but the storm threat appears to be low as of now. Our seasonal storm threat isn’t over though as April is the month, where we usually see our biggest storms of the year.
