Warm, Windy, And Humid Ahead
Saturday AM Weather
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
We are expecting a warm, humid, breezy and mostly dry weekend across West Tennessee. Saturday will be warm and dry. Next shot for storms coming Sunday night. Catch the latest forecast details on both storm chances and we will have your complete weekend forecast coming up here.

THE WEEKEND:
We are looking at a warm and humid weekend across the Mid South. This could eventually lead to a round of strong to severe storms but the timing of the event isn’t locked in just yet. The current thinking is late Sunday night into Monday the worst of it will come through West Tennessee. We will be watching that situation closely during the week and have updates each day this week as the weekend gets closer. As of now, it does not look like it is going to be a big severe weather maker for us.

Highs both days will make it up to the low to mid 80s with morning lows generally around the mid 60s. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected but there will be times when the sun comes out this weekend as well. The winds will be breezy most of the weekend and come out of the south. Chances for rain on Saturday is 10% with chances getting as high as 40% Sunday night.

NEXT WEEK:
Showers and storms will be likely on Monday. The timing of the event might be good for us to avoid severe storms in West Tennessee but it is going to be close and something we will be monitoring over the weekend. We are expecting some showers to linger early Tuesday morning but drying out into the afternoon and throughout the day on Wednesday. There could be a few showers returning Wednesday, but Thursday appears to be a much better chance for some showers and storms. Clouds will hang around all day Monday and most of Tuesday before the sun comes back during the middle of the week. The winds are forecast to come out of the south to start the week but return to the west by the end of the week. Highs will slowly warm up as the week progresses and be back in the mid 80s by Wednesday and Thursday.

FINAL THOUGHT:
We are expecting a pretty typical late April week across West Tennessee. We have almost for sure saw our last freeze after some people encountered some light frost Monday morning. Storms could return late into the weekend that could bring our next chance for severe weather on Monday. We are also going to be much warmer this weekend than last weekend across the entire region. Severe storms are likely west of Tennessee for Friday, Saturday and Sunday according to the Storm Prediction Center.
