Gerdau Ameristeel Laying off 13 Workers

JACKSON, Tenn.- Gerdau Ameristeel announced Tuesday it was laying off 13 workers at its north Jackson facility. Gerdau manufactures recycled steel products for a variety of industries. A spokesperson said the layoffs are due to market conditions. Both salary and hourly workers were let go. Te company said about 350 people currently work at the Jackson facility.
