New North Library Location Opens to the Public

JACKSON, Tenn.- No longer do book lovers in north Jackson have to drive all the way downtown to check out a book. The Jackson-Madison County Library opened its new north branch, Tuesday. It is now located on Stonebridge Boulevard off of Vann Drive. The new location is about double the size of the old space on North Highland with a lot more parking. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News spoke with patrons who said they are excited about what the new location has to offer. “The old library was very nice, but it was it was cramped with lots of people in there and here we have more room between the bookselves and we have room to wander around,” said Mandy Williams, a Jackson resident. The library board said it will cost about $2,000 more a year to run this location compared to the old one.
