West Tennessee Veterans Coalition holds fish fry fundraiser

JACKSON, Tenn. — One fundraiser is helping the men and women who served.

West Tennessee Veterans Coalition held a fish fry fundraiser this evening at VFW Post 6496.

For $15 attendees were able to get a fried catfish plate. The money raised will help the post with some needed renovations, but it will also go towards helping our local veterans.

“We’re going to help all the veterans we need to help. That includes getting them off the streets, the homeless, if they need medicine, those kind of things. We have a coalition that does that, but we help the coalition also,” said James Frye, quartermaster for VFW Post 6496.

The VFW Post 6496 aims to have a fundraising event every month.
