Empowerment Community Church to host back-to-school giveaway

JACKSON, Tenn. — Empowerment Community Church invites you to their back-to-school giveaway.

The event will take place on Saturday, July 27 at 1 p.m. The location is 455 East Main Street.

This giveaway includes bookbags stuffed with school supplies.

There will also be brand name shoes for every participant.

The pastor and first lady of Empowerment Church stated that they do not want kids worrying about what they have on their feet this year and hopefully them giving back will inspire kids to just “Step.”

“250 backpacks, 100 pair of brand name new shoes that we are also giving away so that the children can go back and not only go and learn, but go and step in style,” said Pastor Ken.

“They shouldn’t have to worry about what’s on their feet. We just want them to step,” said First Lady Stephanie Daniels.

This event is free and open to the public.
