PRESS RELEASE FROM THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF WEST TENNESSEE:
Community Foundation of West Tennessee Donates $10,187.76 to Support Jackson Animal Care Center Needs
Jackson, Tenn. – The Community Foundation of West Tennessee presented the Jackson Animal Care Center with a donation of $10,187.76 to support the center’s mission and help provide a physical and mental enrichment area outdoors for the animals.
“I am so thankful for the Community Foundation’s donation through the Eunice M. Fishman Endowment and Susan and Larry Reasons Endowment for Animal Welfare to the Jackson Animal Care Center,” said Whitney Owen, Director of the Jackson Animal Care Center. “This donation is going to improve the resources that we have at the center for the overall health and well-being of the animals in our program.”
This donation was funded by two endowments managed by the Community Foundation – Eunice M. Fishman Endowment and Susan and Larry Reasons Endowment for Animal Welfare.
“The Community Foundation continues to serve as a conduit, connecting donors to their passions,” said Beth Koffman, Chief Operating Officer for the Community Foundation. “It is inspiring to see the work the Animal Care Center is doing, and we are proud to connect our donors with the center’s work.”
Endowments are an opportunity for donors to create a legacy and support one or more causes that are important to them. This permanent fund allows the principal to be invested while a portion of the fund is distributed annually to philanthropic causes of the donor’s choosing, such as the Jackson Animal Care Center.
