At this work session, several topics of note were discussed.
First revisions to principal bonus metrics. They are proposing changes to base this on student performance.
They are also proposing to move the superintendent’s evaluation forward due to added metrics by the board. This way he’s evaluated by the same board members that created those new metrics instead of the new board members who were voted in last week.
One that will affect all parents, is a new visitor code of conduct requirement that was passed by the state legislature and will be dispersed to parents.
This will require parents’ signature according to conversation in the meeting.
All items discussed at Monday night’s work session will be voted on at this month’s board of education meeting.
