Bolivar to hold memorial events commemorating 9/11

BOLIVAR, Tenn. — The City of Bolivar will be holding a series of events to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of 9/11.

These include a memorial breakfast, procession, and a special program in the city on the morning of September 11.

From 6:30-7:30 a.m., a buffet-style breakfast will be held at Backwoods Restaurant. It is open to all first responders, however attendees are responsible for the cost of their own food.

At 7:30 a.m., vehicles will begin lining up for a processional that will begin at 7:45 and proceed to the Bolivar Fire Department.

Following the processional, a memorial program will be held at the Fire Department beginning at 8 a.m.

The event is expected to be wrapped up by 9 a.m.

While the Memorial Breakfast is open only to first responders, the public is invited and encouraged to attend the program.
