Police respond to bomb threat in Bruceton
BRUCETON, Tenn. — There was a large police presence at the Family Dollar in Bruceton earlier Monday evening.
We were notified of a possible bomb threat around 7 p.m.
At the scene, workers of the Family Dollar confirmed that a threat did take place.
Bruceton Police Chief Richard Crossno said law enforcement received an anonymous call of a bomb threat at the store. Police arrived on the scene at 6:18 p.m. and the scene was cleared by 7:33 p.m. Bomb dogs from Carroll County Sheriff’s Department were used and Bruceton Police Department assisted with clearing the scene.
The investigation is still under review and police are working to find the source of the anonymous call.
