One local organization celebrates its beginning
JACKSON, Tenn.—Meanwhile, a local organization is celebrating its beginning from earlier this year.
The Jackson Greek Alumni Council marked its chartering of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated, which happened back in March.
Today, the group celebrated with a chartering ceremony reception at at Mother Liberty CME Church in downtown Jackson.
Organizers say the group’s mission is to make the community a better place to live.
Group leaders say the council is also founded on local college campuses.
